As a writer, creativity is important. You can choose to write about anything; the options are endless. However, depending on the audience you are reaching out to, you should choose tones and themes that are common to them. For example, if you are writing for children the theme should be one that excites them like magic, and the tone should be playful and not serious.

Make a rough copy before writing the final copy

Write a sloppy copy first. This will help you look for coherency and the flow of the story. This is not for spell checking or adding missing words to the story, it’s for the purpose putting your thoughts down in writing. This also will allow time for you make all the necessary changes that you feel will make the story better and more attractive to your audience.
